Eclipse

Got up this morning to checkout the moon eclipse. This shot was taken at 3:00am. It reminded me of my old working days. "getting up at odd hours in odd places" It was more than worth the wait. The moon did as advertised it turned a shade of red. Cool huh? Well it's time to get back to the sack as we have out of town company coming later today.

The Morning After

It's the morning after the big event. Things are back on track Steve working , Anita Xwording the high tech way. Looks like we will all be heading out of Spokane today.

Mary's Birthday

The PARTY has started. A great day was had by all from the party at the Dimond lake cabin to the final gifts back home in Spokane

Mary Frey's 70th Birthday Spokane

It's off to Spokane this morning for Mary's 70 th Birthday celebration tomorrow the 25 th. Scary Huh? 70 years old. How can that be? Is she the ONLY one getting older or is that wish full thinking? St Edwards Class of 1957

St Edwards Class of 1957 . Fifty years later. The Annual St Edwards Picnic held at St. Edwards park. It's amazing how a grade school class of about 50 kids can still keep together to have a picnic every year. Or at least for the last 7 years or so. The core group of this bunch has seemed to keep in touch ever since we all left St. Edwards some 50 years ago. WOW! It totally blows me away to hear some of these people who now look like total strangers to say. "I remember when you and I did this or that" I think the reason most of these people have stayed so close is most of them continued on thru a couple of high schools together where they formed more permeate bonds. As always I look forward to next years meetings and the good thing it seems that every year more different people show than no show. Keep it up class of 57! click Here to check out more pictures

Hanging with Sparky

This morning we are spending the morning hanging with Sparky. Bill and Robin are off taking John to Washington State University. We have already paid a visit to the beach, had breakfast and had a pot of coffee. At the moment Anita and Sparky have headed off on a blackberry quest. After taking this picture I started wondering just what the "X" stood for on the sign. I think Sparky has an idea of his own.

Adam arrived home from Alaska yesterday and today he was off on his new career as a sardine fisherman off the coast of Wash. I beleive out of West Port. Hopefully he continues on with his Blog.

Tom Jones 65th Birthday

Today we headed to Snohomish. To have lunch with Tom and Carrie Jones. Tom turned 65 boy is he getting old,But I guess we all are. Had a great visit and lunch followed by a visit to a number antique of shops.

Still Heading Home

We made it to SFO and now have seats on the SEA flight. We finally got out of boston on Jet Blue. BOS/SFO then overnighted in SFO At the moment we are waiting to board our flt to SEA.

Other than having the alarm set 2

hrs early everything seems a go for our drive back to Boston where hopefully we will be able to start the air treck home BOS/DEN/SEA. Wish us LUCK. Made it as far as Logan smoothly. Now its the waiting game. Everything is over a little but what the heck.

Figuring out how to get home

Now comes the dreaded time to try to figure the best way home! This is NOT simple, But who cares. We are RETIRED. (maybe in Maine). Woke up this morning to another great sunrise. Since then we have had rain and now sun. All in all life is GREAT!

Joe

Good Morning it's Thur already. Had a great sunrise this morning which I enjoyed with my new found friend Joe. Joe is a fellow who is like us a visitor who also gets up every morning to take in sunrise or like yesterday Joe came to the beach with an umbrella to stay dry. I guess I like Joe. Like me there is NO better time of day. This morning Brooke will be arriving from Detroit.Well Billy just got up. Coffee Time!!!

Wednesday's Adventures

Today we drove up the coast to Ogonqut. Pictures to follow. Boy O boy this place is designed with tourests in mind. I was remarking about seeing old pictures of summer vacations on the east coast. Well that's exactly how it is sort of like an endless Wakiki beach."Need a T-shirt??" Now we are back at the beach house "This is a good thing" It's very relaxing her with the breeze, the sound of the surff and dinging of a bouy 200 yds off shore. Tonight BBQ Billy will be doing his famous chicken.

Visit to Rumney NH

Tue the 7 th. We drove to Rumney NH. about 100mi NE of York Beach to visit Robin's Uncle and Aunt (Roger & June Winsor) They have a maple syrup farm on about 140 ochre's. What a GREAT experience! Great people, Great Place. We drove thru Concord NH on the way home and visited the cemetery where the Winsor family lies in peace. Made it home to BBQ burgers and relax. Today who knows. We are having Seattle rain at the moment but it could be sunny anytime. The rain is fine too as it just adds another dimension to the experience. Who knows maybe dominoes are in store

Chloe got her missing bag Now she is a happy camper. Today the 7th it's foggy but great out and we will be heading to Rumney NH. to visit Robin's Uncle Roger

Day Two

Day Two After watching the sunrise it was off to downtown York Beach. Maybe a 10min walk from the diggs.Today the sun has gone south for the day but its a welcom thing as I would love to experience all there is here on the east coast.
